Record Breaking Start to the Year

Nothing quite gladdens the soul like the first signs of spring, seeing the spring flowers in bloom and cheery trees in blossom definitely puts a spring in the step. In the property business, springtime, with warmer days and lighter evenings, is traditionally when the market begins to hot up.    

Although we’ve already seen a busy start to 2024 across our offices, it has if anything, become more so as the year has progressed. The return of market confidence, fueled by stability within the UK and wider global economies, along with more competitive bank and mortgage interest rates for borrowers, has resulted in a marked increase in new property coming to the market, an increase in buyer activity as well as sales agreed, some achieving record breaking prices.

The spring market shows all the signs of continuing the buoyant start we’ve seen from the beginning of the year…
